The White Ribbon
This movie won the Palm d'Or at Cannes Film Festival in 2009 and is nominated for two Academy Awards (one for best foreign language film). I was engaged by this film, but not entertained - I will probably never watch it again. The movie is filled with so many horrible people and so many unsolved mysteries. It was like watching vignettes (some more interesting than others), that told pieces of a story, but you never got the entire picture.
